Before you pay
The first pages need no account. Your titles, town and commute go to the server as a lookup on the shared index of job postings. zuvor keeps no record of who asked.
What zuvor keeps
After you subscribe and sign in with Apple, your account holds the following, and it is used to find your roles and for nothing else.
- Your Apple user id and the email address Apple passes on, often a relay address.
- Your plan, its status and when it ends, from Apple.
- The text of your CV and the profile read from it.
- Your home town, commute minutes, remote countries and titles.
- The industries you describe, the employers you watch, your votes and your shortlist.
- Your device's push token, to send notifications.
Your phone reads the CV file. The server gets its text, never the file.
Apple's notifications about a subscription are kept as Apple sends them, so each is handled once.
Who else sees it
- Anthropic reads your CV when you send or correct it, your profile when you describe an industry, a summary of it each time roles are scored, and your industries once a month.
- OpenStreetMap's Nominatim and transport.opendata.ch get your town name and its station, to work out the trains. Nothing else.
- Apple handles sign in, payment and notifications.
- The server runs at Hetzner in Germany. Tailscale relays traffic to it.
Each processes the data to run zuvor and for nothing else. zuvor runs no analytics and no ads, and does not sell data.
The website
zuvor.io sets no cookies and loads nothing from other sites. Cloudflare passes each request to the server and sees your IP address, as any network in between does. The server keeps no log of who opened which page.
Vercel routes zuvor.io's traffic to the server. A page made for one person keeps the answers given on it and the time of the last visit.
Why
zuvor uses this data to run the service you pay for, under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Deleting your data
Delete account, in the You tab of the app, removes your account and everything keyed to it. A running subscription stays with Apple and is cancelled in Settings.
You can also ask for a copy of your data, a correction or its deletion by email, and you can complain to a data protection authority.
If this policy changes, this page changes, with the date at the top.
